Bose Brand Project #5: Recommendations

Advertisements:
Bose typically do not  advertise as much as other brands do. We believe if Bose advertise on television more and tried to reach more of an audience, more people would know about the brand. They can do this by advertising between ads on streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Also if there were more ads on Instagram and sponsors that aren’t just atheistic.

Reach Consumers Who Might Buy the Competition ex. (Beats)
Bose has a tight competition with the Beats brand. Beats are a trendy and a status symbol. From personal experience, my age demographic of Gen Y or Gen Z are strongly influenced by the drive for a higher status in society. Similar to the iPhone vs Android debate, one might choose the iPhone because the majority has one instead of looking into all of the features compared to the competition. My suggestion for Bose would be to try and expose the brand into more realms that would connect with the younger generations. By adding lower tear influencers to their team might spread the word and make the Bose headphones more of a fashion trend like Beats are seen as today. Once they break through the barrier of advertising and personally reach the consumer through relatable sources, they should be able to grow as a fashionable technology brand especially with the launch of their new sunglass speaker line.   


If Bose was to put on a silent party event, I believe this would gain more acknowledgement to its brand. Specially, an event where participants of all demographics would get the chance to wear the headphones, see how noise-cancelling the technology of the brand actually is, and to have a little bit more of a personal feel to what Bose represents as a whole. This event would produce a creative addition to their innovatively run brand; the main reputation that this brand cherishes. It would serve all demographics the same, equal chance to tune in to the community of Bose.
